How it works

The motor scrubs. You hold the beer.

Every grill brush ever made handed you the same bad deal: clean it right with stiff wire that sheds metal into your food, or clean it safe with something weak that barely works. GRYT breaks that trap.

  1. Press the button. The motor spins up and supplies the scrubbing force — the power that used to need aggressive wire or a sore wrist.
  2. Run it across the grate. A bristle-free, heat-tolerant head makes contact. The power comes from the rotation, not from sheddable metal.
  3. It lifts the baked-on stuff. Brisket char, burger grease, carbon a passive brush just skates over — the powered head pulls it off.
  4. The 180° head wraps the bars. Tops, sides and grooves in a single pass — no missed spots, no second lap.
  5. Done in about two minutes. Hands away from the heat, no bending, no scrubbing. Back to your people before the food's cold.

Questions & Answers

Fair question — the grill aisle is full of them. GRYT isn't a $100 robot that roams your grate and still needs a hand-finish, and it's not another passive brush. It's a powered handheld tool you control: press the button, the motor scrubs, you're done in about two minutes. Watch it clean a real, baked-on grate and judge for yourself.

Yes — that's the entire point. Wire cleaned well because it was stiff and aggressive. GRYT pulls that same cutting power from the motor instead of from sharp metal, so you get wire-level results with zero wire. Wire-level power. None of the wire.

If you cook on it, GRYT cleans it. Cast iron, porcelain-coated, stainless steel and flat-top surfaces — Weber, Traeger, Big Green Egg, Blackstone and the rest. One tool for the whole backyard fleet, so you can toss the drawer full of single-job brushes.

Warm is best — grime lifts easiest before it hardens, and the long handle keeps your hands and forearms away from the heat while you work. We don't recommend going at a screaming-hot grate straight off a sear; let it come down to warm and it'll wipe out in a couple of minutes.

It's the whole reason GRYT exists. There's no loose wire to snap off and end up in someone's food — the cleaning comes from a powered, bristle-free head. For context: regulators recalled over 13 million wire-bristle brushes in 2026 after reports of bristles detaching and being swallowed. We built the tool that removes that risk at the source.

It does — until you count the drawer. Those $10 brushes are exactly why you've bought five or six of them and dropped $100–$200 over the years, and you never got the time back. Your grill cost hundreds, maybe thousands. You wouldn't clean a Porsche with a Brillo pad — don't clean a $1,500 grill with a $12 brush. Got a $20 camping grill you fire up twice a year? Keep the cheap brush. Anything you actually care about deserves better.

Then you don't keep it. You've got 90 days to try it — if it doesn't out-clean every brush you've owned, send it back. Every GRYT is backed by a 1-year warranty, and the heads are replaceable so the tool keeps living. Grill every week? Keep a spare head in the drawer and you're never one dirty grate away from a ruined cookout. You've spent enough on tools that quit on you — this time the risk is on us.

GRYT — Why every brush let you down
Why every brush failed you

It was never you.
It was the brush.

Wire. Nylon. A wood scraper your brother swore by. The foil trick. The onion thing. You've got a drawer full of dead brushes that all promised the same thing and quit on you.

Here's why every one of them failed — same reason, every time:

The wire one cleaned best… and sheds metal into your food. (That's why 13 million got recalled in 2026.) The "safe" ones — nylon, pads — clean like a wet napkin. Weak, slow, cool-grates-only.

The drawer of failed grill brushes — wire, nylon, wood scraper, foil, onion
Every one failed for the same reason.
The drawer of failed grill brushes — wire, nylon, wood scraper, foil, onion
The graveyard. Every one failed for the same reason.
Before and after — a griller beside his grill
From dreading cleanup to done in two minutes.

So every brush ever made handed you the same rigged choice: clean it right, or clean it safe. Never both.

The Scrub-or-Shed Trap

It's been built into grill brushes for 70 years. You didn't fail at cleaning your grill — you were handed a broken tool and told to try harder.

GRYT — How it works
How it works

We took the scrubbing off your wrist and dropped it into a motor.

No wire. No elbow grease. You press the button — the motor does the work.

1The motor supplies the force
Step 1

The motor supplies the force

The power that used to need stiff wire — or a sore wrist — now comes from the head spinning, not from you leaning on it.

Step 2

The head is bristle-free

Nothing to snap off. Nothing to end up in a burger. Wire-level cleaning, zero shedding metal.

Step 3

It lifts baked-on carbon

Brisket, burger char, the stuff a passive brush just skates over — the powered head pulls it right off.

Step 4

The 180° head wraps every bar

Tops, sides and grooves of each bar — cleaned in a single pass, not skimmed across the top.

Step 5

You stay upright, off the heat

No bending, no burnt forearms. Clean it warm, when it lifts easiest — hands away from the grate.

The motor scrubs so you don't — wire-level results, zero wire.

The mess is normal. The cleaning shouldn't be.

A real grate. Real baked-on grease. About two minutes.

No edits, no tricks. Filthy to factory-clean, one hand, drink in the other.

GRYT — Let's do the math
Let's do the math

You'd never clean a Porsche with a Brillo pad.

A $10 nylon brush sounds cheap — until you count the five, six, seven of them rusting in your drawer. You've already spent $100–$200 replacing brushes that quit on you, and you never got the time back.

Your grill cost hundreds. Maybe thousands. So why clean a $1,500 grill with a $12 brush?

An expensive grill next to a cheap worn-out brush

Look — got a $20 camping grill you fire up twice a year on vacation? Keep your cheap brush. This isn't for you. But if your grill cost real money and you actually use it, treat it like it. One GRYT outlives the whole graveyard.

GRYT — Who it's for
Straight talk

Who it's for (and who it isn't).

This is for you

  • The grill master & pitmaster
  • The serious griller & weekend burger guy
  • The brisket obsessive & backyard host
  • The guy who protects his people and is proud of his setup

It's not for

  • The once-a-summer camper who wants the cheapest thing that exists
  • The guy who'd rather buy a new grill than clean the one he's got
  • Anyone who lets their grate cake up and genuinely doesn't care
  • Sushi-only guys. (We're kidding. Mostly.)

GRYT — Questions, straight answers
Questions, straight answers

No spin. Just answers.

No moving robot, no $100 novelty. It's a powered handheld tool you control. Watch the demo — real grate, real grease, two minutes.
Yes — that's the whole point. The motor supplies wire-level force, minus the wire. See the timed demo.
Cast iron, porcelain, stainless, flat top. Weber, Traeger, Big Green Egg, Blackstone, and more.
Warm grates clean easiest, and you stay hands-away from the heat.
There's no loose wire to snap off into your food — the cleaning comes from a powered, bristle-free head. Backed by the 2026 recalls of 13 million+ wire brushes, not marketing fluff.
That $10 brush is exactly why you've got five dead ones in a drawer and $100–$200 gone. Would you clean a BMW with a $10 brush? Treat the grill you paid real money for like it.
Dave Miller, GRYT Founder

Built to fix a problem.

I didn't want to start a grill company. I just wanted to clean my grates without wondering if a rogue wire bristle was going to end up in my kid's burger.

Hand-scrubbing is miserable, and the existing tools are either weak, flimsy, or outright dangerous. We wanted a heavy-duty motor, a solid battery, and zero wire bristles. It didn't exist, so we engineered it.
